Mothers of Multiples

Author: admin  //  Category: Home And Family

An unspoken sisterhood exists between mothers of multiples. The instant they meet, they are bonded by a shared understanding of the joys and challenges of parenting multiples. They want to encourage each other. They freely admit their mistakes as they relate their experience for the sake of the other mother. Novice mothers attentively seek advice while more veteran mothers graciously impart it.

This spirit of sisterhood and sharing provided the inspiration for writing this book. My personal journey with twins began with two unusually solid blue lines on a pregnancy test strip. Two stripes, you are pregnant. One stripe, you are not. I knew the routine from my prior pregnancy with my then two-year-old daughter. What made this test different was an unusual clarity to the blue stripes considering that the test was done at least a week before my period would have arrived. I remember with my first daughter that we could barely tell if there was a second line.

But with this test, the two blue lines emerged quickly and solidly, indicating that my pregnancy hormone level was surging. In retrospect, my hormone level was unusually high because I was pregnant with twins. Seven weeks into my pregnancy, I started spotting. An ultrasound to evaluate the bleeding surprised both me and my obstetrician when two little bodies appeared on the screen. I could not believe I was pregnant with twins! As the weeks passed, I continued to have regular ultrasounds to monitor the health of the twins.

With amazement, I saw the babies transform from two tiny white masses on the screen into two fully formed babies. Th ere were many challenges along the way, but before I knew it, I was on the laboring table giving birth. What started out as two beautiful blue stripes on a pregnancy test culminated in the birth of two beautiful girls, Faith and Hope. Parenting them has been a learning and rewarding experience. From the day I found out I was pregnant with twins, I knew I was embarking on a special journey. Mothers of multiples openly share what they have learned from their experiences because they understand that parenting twins can be very different from rearing singletons.

The Best Way to Burn Fat – A Must Read For All

Author: admin  //  Category: Health And Fitness

The best way to burn fat is the most natural and safest way recommended by people who have tried and succeeded. Losing fat isn’t easy and cannot be done in a day as you didn’t pile up the pounds in a single day. The fat had accumulated for long and it would take some real time effort to shed them safely. The entire process of fat burning can be simple and easy.

Fat burning diet

Primarily, the best way to lose fat is to stick to fat burning diets and keep off calories, sodium and fatty food stuffs. If you feel thirsty, drink plain water instead of carbonated drinks that can pile up the flesh in the buttocks, thighs, armpits and chin. Women tend to pile up more weight if they are addicted to soft drinks. Drinking fruit juice is a great way to reduce the bad effects of quenching your thirst with carbonated soft drinks whenever you are thirsty.

You tend to put on weight easily if you eat more at a time; take your meals late in the night, lead an easy going life without much physical activity and take more than the required amount of calories every day with your daily diet. Even though people coast to coast know the best way to burn fat, they tend to forget once they are on a gorging spree. Instead of eating large amounts of food once or twice in a day, eat in small quantities and spread your meals.

You need to speed up your metabolism rate which is another best way to reduce fat. Few people have the time to do fat burning exercises in the midst of their busy work schedules. At the end of the day, they are a spent force and doze off after returning from work. On weekends, they tend to laze away their time or spend time watching TV or gong on long drives. None of these are good for burning excess fat from your body.

Strict exercise regimen

Among the most effective fat burning exercises is weight training and if you can squeeze time out to visit a gym, you could end up doing loads for your health. Weight training and intense workouts are recommended for those who are exceptionally obese and require losing weight quickly for occasions like a wedding or a party.

The best way to burn fat is to combine both exercises with a strict diet regimen and the process has shown great results. Concentrate more on fresh vegetables, salads and fresh fruits that can detoxify your body as well and firewall against any fat build up. You can work out your way to a healthier and slimmer way if you stick to the best way to burn fat. Combine exercise with a diet that is low in fat, calories and sodium. Your best bet would be to plan your day ahead and stick to the fat reducing diet plan you worked out. Eat frequently rather than gorge once or twice.

A Little Place Called Little Hampton

Author: admin  //  Category: Travel And Leisure

Little Hampton is a little place close to Bognor Regis on the Southeast coast of England which is a lovely small harbor village…what a find, and a perfect place to unwind if you’ve just been part of all the excitement of Goodwood Revival which takes place every year just a little distance up the road from Bognor.

You can take a long walk on the seafront with the little harbor full of small fishing boats and cruisers to your right which also houses more swans than I have ever seen in one place, whilst strolling passed numerous seaside huts painted in all the bright traditional colors of a past age…yellow, blue, green and pink!

On the left of the seashore, a short walk from the harbor there are some lovely mature gardens with play areas for the little ones housing its own car park where you can picnic whilst enjoying a family day out by the sea watching the youngsters enjoying the swings and climbing frames.

On busy days Little Hampton offers a scheme whereby youngsters can wear colored wrist bands. On the pavements there are sections colored the same as the wrist bands with an area of beach designated. If the child has a yellow wrist band for instance, then they must stay in the yellow area. If for any reason they stray, then all they need do is look for the color on the pavement to match their wrist band, likewise, if the beach patrol sees a child in an area of the wrong color, they can be guided back to their own designated area of the beach. These schemes have been welcomed by many parents visiting areas where at times its hard to keep track of youngsters amongst the crowds that flock to the beaches year after year.

For the young teenagers there are amusements in a cafe decked out with lots of naval memorabilia housing a wonderful model of HMS Victory. Back in Little Hampton town there are numerous bars and restaurants with more than one award winning fish and chip establishment where you can either sit in to enjoy perfectly fried food or can opt to have a take away to sit by the harbor for example (although you will need an extra bag of chips for the swans and the seagulls!)

If small traditional harbors are your thing, rather than the hustle and bustle of the larger towns on the coast like Bognor, then you won’t go far wrong with Little Hampton…
