Every now and then, a video game takes on the market and takes hold of the fancy of people coming from all parts of society.. Angry Birds is one good illustration. Over 13 million copies of this game has been sold since December 2009 by Rovio Mobile, the company behind Angry Birds which happens to be based in Finland.

Originally created for the Apple iOS system, Angry Birds has been redesigned to be appropriate for other touchscreen devices. Personal computer and gaming console-friendly designs of Angry Birds are now available, too. Angry Birds has been hyped as the most addictive video game on the market – largely due to its clever, amusing style and enjoyable animation, combined with the fact that it only costs approximately a dollar to download, maybe $3 for the HD version.

Understanding Angry Birds is a piece of cake. What you have to do is get rid of a handful of scheming pigs with a slingshot and a variety of birds. So as to get pass the current level, you have to eliminate all the pigs without running out of birds. Sound silly? It cannot be denied that it is, which is the reason great number of people are essentially vying to obtain a copy of this game.

There’s a lot more to the objective too. Since you are the primary player, you should recover the stolen golden eggs from the scheming swines through the help of your loopy-looking birds. According to its color, each bird has a superpower. If what you have is a blue bird, then it has the capacity to divide itself into 3 simultaneously. On the other hand, black birds can self-combust while yellow birds can move great distance. Meanwhile, green birds possess a boomerang ability.

When found, each golden egg shows a special purpose. For example, finding one particular golden egg can open a zany new game level, still another can unleash a completely new lot of pigs, and another will present you a physics-based question which you’ll need to answer to be able to advance any more in the game. For those who get stuck in a level and could not find the all-important golden egg, you can always fly to websites on the internet and browse on the tips, tricks and cheats provided by other users. There’s also a walkthrough which you can take advantage of as a way to fully familiarize yourself with the several settings and levels thereby helping you find the golden eggs.

The events ending in the “birth” of Angry Birds can be quite a story. It was designed around the time that the swine flu epidemic was flooding the media – and that’s why the game’s bad guys are pigs. Immediately after its productive original release, Angry Birds took on “Rio” and quite a few holiday occasions as its theme for the succeeding versions There are also gossip about a TV series based on Angry Birds

Angry Birds can be viewed as the most up-to-date entertainment to take on the video game market. What makes it not the same as other video games is that it helps you to have fun for hours without needing to bother about the price. Even more so with Angry Birds Onlinewhere you get all of the games packed together and completely free!

Author: admin  //  Category: Arts And Entertainment

The third studio album of Alicia Keys (Alicia J. Augello-Cook in real life) entitled “As I Am” has created a loud buzz all over the world during its release in November 2007. Alicia was born on January 25, 1981 (Aquarius) and won a whooping eleven Grammy Awards (as of I’m writing this review). In fact, “As I Am” reached number one in US Billboard Top 200 on December 1, 2007 and sold 742,000 copies during its first week US release and until now, it’s counting for more. The album has 14 cuts and the first 6 tracks were noticeably unforgettable.

Strengths

Of all the 14 tracks, her debut single “No One (Track 4)” is, hands down, the most outstanding. Every line of the song has a significant truth and it also articulates the real significance of love in human existence. In fact, the single won as the Best R&B Song in Grammy Awards 2008.

“You and me together | Through the days and nights | I don’t worry cause | Everything’s gonna be alright | People keep on talking | They can say what they like | But all I know is everything’s gonna be alright,” she sang.

Another great track in her album is Superwoman (Tack 3) and I am really sure this will become another feminists’ theme song worldwide. This is undeniably one of the strongest soulful tracks in Keys’ album. In fact, this is her topmost favorite. The first time I heard this song; it produces goosebumps all over my body. It makes me realize that the real attraction of a woman is not only seen in her physical appearance.

I also like Track 5 “Like You’ll Never See Me Again.” Listening to this song for the first time can be depressing due to its nostalgic lyrics, especially in the chorus part. Try listening to it and you will learn to appreciate the one you loved the most.

Weaknesses

From what I can observe, there’s no evident weak areas in the album. However, I expected more of soulful and powerful trademark singles from Alicia. I expected a stronger and soulful duo in her duet with John Mayer in the song “Lessons Learned (Track 6).”

This song was about heartaches and having a damaged ego; Therefore- I expected a lot of intimate exchange of thoughts between the two artists but it turned out that almost all the lines are sung by Alicia. I thought John Mayer could create an interesting twist in the song, sad to say, it didn’t happen. “Lessons Learned” can still stand on its own even when John Mayer is not there.

Overall Review

The album is unique. It can lurk straight into the deepest corners of your soul.

My rating: 4 out of 5 stars.
